Pacific Beat instead focuses in on the island nations which depend on the Pacific Ocean for their existence. It draws on Australian based reporters and correspondents throughout the region to bring you the events and issues affecting the region, interviews with political leaders, newsmakers, and the people who make the Pacific beat. Pacific Beat (early edition) is broadcast on Radio Australia Monday to Friday after the news at 6, 7 and 8am Suva time with the afternoon edition at 5pm and 7pm Suva time.
